Patch Pictures are quarter sheet sized water colour drawings (11′ x 15″) composed of numerous small images. They are designed to capture the essence of a place or a situation in a way not possible in a single image. Individually customised versions are sometimes painted to celebrate special occasions such as birthdays and weddings.
The first painting was commissioned as a leaving present for the Rector of St Just in Roseland and includes items of particular interest in his ministry. It includes the recently carved granite statue of St Piran which was transported to Brittany aboard the Breton fishing boat La Nebuleuse
